I put a guy in the Navy years ago that went through the jump school as a part of some college class. He graduated boot camp with the National Defense Ribbon and his jump wings. It was pretty funny. TIL: Civilians can go through jump school or at least they could in the early 90s.

"A" school. Seabee “A" school is in Gulfport, Mississippi. Recruits just out of boot camp are trained there. The 12-week school is a combination of classwork and hands-on training within their specialties. Immediately afterwards they attend another two-week school, Seabee Replacement Training, where the focus is more on combat skills.
