The Best Stellaris DLC | Strategy Gamer

The art is well done - a couple of the plantoids are among my favorite portraits in Stellaris, and the new ships and space stations look pretty cool with their organic, leafy aesthetic. But personally? I think $8 is a bit much for a visual only DLC.

Stellaris: Apocalypse review | Rock Paper Shotgun

I’ve made a lot of galaxies and star empires this last week, and I’ve thrown most of them in the bin. The Stellaris 2.0 update and the accompanying Apocalypse DLC have blown this 4X game to bits, along with my fleets as I’ve tried to wrap my head around the almost-new game built out of its chunks. Though I’ve racked up hundreds of hours of galactic conquest over the last couple of ...

Stellaris: Federations PC Review | GameWatcher

www.gamewatcher.com

As always, Stellaris’ latest DLC is a mix of much needed additions and some blatantly missed opportunities. Federations, envoys, and origins were an important step in the road for a better game with more player agency, yet the the inability to actually create your initial Federation charter – arguably one of the most important aspects of the foundation of such an organisation – or the ...

The first major DLC to come to Stellaris, Utopia is still the most relevant DLC to all playstyles, even with some of its content reintegrated into the base game. Unlike Synthetic Dawn and Apocalypse, Utopia added several different categories of new content, instead of focusing on just one.

Reviews “Calling Stellaris Europa Universalis in space is probably reductive, but it was the first thing I did in this review not because they are almost exactly alike, but because, when I put away my empires and get on with my day, the stories that have played out in these digital worlds embed themselves in my brain, and I so desperately want to tell people about them.

 · This new DLC, Stellaris: Apocalypse, and the major update to the base game, overhaul some serious systems, but the root problem of the title still remains. It simply is too grindy, too 'bureaucratic,' and simply takes too long to do anything interesting.

These enhancements are great, sometimes even game-changing, but Paradox are offering so much for free that it makes the actual premium DLC less vital. Stellaris: Utopia is out now on Windows, Mac and Linux via Steam and Humble for £15/$20/€20.
