Cafe Crush - Review

Cafe Crush is a really short Visual Novel with 3 Girls. Playing all routes took me just around an hour and to be totally honest I feel like this VN just doesnt have much of a great Story or anything. The Endings are all pretty much a copy of each other and there is nothing happening that would be interesting or surprising. The Game itself is fine and I like the Minigames however for me the Plot and Story and also the Character Developlment especially in a Romance Game are just the most important thing. In Cafe Crush however I felt like the Game is more focused on giving the right answears and doing good in the Minigames. If you just want some fairly cute Girls and try the Minigames and little quizes then you should maybe consider buying this but otherwise there are just better VNs out there with even very similar Settings. Just get Nekopara as an example. Also considering the length and Price I would say that it is a little overpriced. Small little Extra, I like that there is Voice acting and that it is even in English, but I felt like the Voices didnt match the Girls and some of the Voice Actors had pretty bad Soundquality.
All in all I'd give this a 5.8/10

Cafe Crush is a little bit shorter than I was hoping but it scratched a very particular itch that I had after playing a coffee-themed visual novel demo earlier this year. The full game (that went with the demo I played) still has not come out yet but I've been really looking forward to it so when I saw this title pop up on the Steam store, I went ahead and picked it up immediately.
There are three basic routes that you can follow in the game but how well you do at each route seems to be determined by either A) your helpfulness B) your coffee knowledge or C) your baking/minigame skill/knowledge. The path I chose required coffee knowledge that I did not have so hopefully if you go that same route, you know a little bit about different types of coffee-based drinks.
The price is just about right for the length of the game (and mild replayability) so I think it's worth it. If you're still on the fence, go ahead and check out my video and decide for yourselves if this is something you think you might like:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_F15EVWKGM

I've know the developer fo r along time and I was sure that he'd be able to put out a good quality story, and I'm pleased to say that he really did deliver, in my opinion.
The game is quite short, but is very engaging. It was a pleasure to play through.
The music is upbeat, happy and relevant to the scenes, the voice acting (all characters voiced except the MC) is top notch and the story is a great read. Its quite fun to figure out the triggers and how to get the endings and the achievements, so look forward to that on your play through! Finally the art is great and really
I must say that the secret ending was a twist, and quite interesting.
Give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised! :)

As a debut work (according to Steam's archives), this is pretty impressive work. However, compared to the vast library of dating sims/visuals novels out there, there's not much about Café Crush that makes it worth even its short runtime. The mini-games aren't very creative or engaging, and the development of the relationships built between the MC and the girls feels unnatural over the course of only a few days(?). Selling point is clearly the art, which definitely appeals, and one girl's ending is hilariously absurd (in a good way). Yet these attributes can't save what's an overall forgettable experience with a really nice color palette.

Having backed this on KS, I'd thought I'd add a short review after finishing one of the paths.
It's a rather pleasant casual visual novel/dating sim, which can be played through in an hour. The premises is simple - you're broke and you need some cash, so you get a job in a coffee shop. Choices may affect the outcome, so don't expect to get a date if you fail one of Josie's coffee quizzes or stuff up the orders. The mini-games were a nice little touch. The only problem that I had with it was that it was too short.
It is a cute story; the puzzles are straightforward, though you may need to brush up on your coffee or dessert knowledge. The game plays very quickly; even with three good and three bad routes, it can still be finished in

It is a cute story; the puzzles are straightforward, though you may need to brush up on your coffee or dessert knowledge. The game plays very quickly; even with three good and three bad routes, it can still be finished in a single day with ease. Still, a good first effort; worth my Kickstarter pledge. Looking forward to the creator's follow-up.
s seeh it is short it does seem to be polished and thought out.

It's okay I guess. It feels a bit rushed overall. I had one of the girls (not even the one I was going for lol.) confess her love to me even though we literally just met 3 days ago.
BUt this seem to be the dev's first game. And I gotta say for a first game that's impressive.
Although it is short it does seem to be polished and thought out.

Bro. After reading other reviews, I see a lot of people still recommending this game despite its flaws because of the game was some sort of debut work, and because its not on an expensive price tag like other DT's/VS's. But Im just gonna be honest, the game is short, routes are expected, art is slightly bellow average (in my opinion) with almost no fan service, some voice lines are missing(fixed) and some are muffled(pretty cringe bro). And the other thing is, if you're too used to chinese or japanese DT or VS its kinda hard to get used to the voice acting, I mean, some characters are just kind of out of their voice (like watching a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dub of an anime), and I do think the voice acting is rather bad rather than "not used too". The only thing Id give this game credit for is being interactive, but the ♥♥♥♥ing mini games they give you is a ♥♥♥♥ing CHILDS GAME, no challenge or effort needed. And the achievements? WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ WOULD I WANT TO GET REJECTED IN THIS VERY NOT SOPHISTICATED GAME, THAT'S THE ONLY CHALLENGE THE GAME GIVES YOU, GETTING REJECTED, NOT BECAUSE ITS HARD, ITS BECAUSE ITS HARD TO STAND, WHAT? YOU THINK ID FAIL TO GET EASY GIRLS THAT ANYONE CAN CASH IN ♥♥♥♥♥ IN LESS THAN A WEEK. Buy the game if you want, the game is probably good, maybe its just me

A very cute (possibly bordering on be a bit too twee), visual novel with some mini-games. Aside from the odd resolution used, the graphics are very nice, with all the characters (expect the protagonist) being voiced.
The mini-games are fun and not too taking at all.
