Broken Blue - Review

The game seems interesting though I've played it just for some minutes. I'm giving it a "Yes" for now since it's free and I love puzzles.
But (and here comes the "but" part) ... man, it really made me sick when I had to move from one place to another using the side buttons. I felt a kind of dizziness I had not felt before. I think this is something in which you have to work on. I don't think I'm the only one with this "motion sick" problem in this game.
The rest, as I said before, seems nice and I think it worth a try. For now I'll close my eyes when I have to move myself.
So, s is that I found the initial experience (controls/position) awkward and couldn't play for more than 2 minutes without feeling extremely sick... so I can't recommend this, sorry.

So, I'm just starting on my VR journey and I've been testing various free VR games on Steam. After trying about 10 or so I came across this and thought it sounded pretty cool... Sadly it's not. The game starts with the tutorial elements outside the play area (most annoying) and then after discovering how to move I was almost immediately beset by nauseas. The "drag and pull" movement mechanic is quite frankly horrible and I could play no more than a minute before getting sick to my stomach and ripping off the goggles. This hasn't happened in any other VR experience I've tried so far, but most of them have used a "teleport" mechanic rather than any form of real movement, so it may be that it's something I'll come acorss in other games too...
Anyway, the tl;dr of this is that I found the initial experience (controls/position) awkward and couldn't play for more than 2 minutes without feeling extremely sick... so I can't recommend this, sorry.
Awesoonkey-men were funny to watch. 10/10 would reccomend.

Awesome! There are so many unique aspects about this game. My family and I played this through several times this week. We wish all games had this movement paradigm available in them; world shrinking/growing and hand-over-hand world-pulling were instantly intuitive and the most free of all environment-traversing methods out there. We'd played a previous version that gave us TOO much control (and made me a little sim-sick, but I'm very sensitive) but this new version was PERFECT and I was able to complete it without incident.
The puzzles were fun to play and the monkey-men were funny to watch. 10/10 would reccomend.
Broken Blue s if you like Puzzles but beware it might cause motion sickness or vertigo.

Broken Blue is a Puzzle Solving VR Game that utilizes an innovative interface to allow the player to traverse and explore the game’s content. It worked on my system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. I got through the tutorial and was put into this world where you are levatating and able to shrink, grab or inlarge the world to move about it. I didn't feel sick like other reviewers but the floating view unnerved me when i looked down. I really don't know how to solve the first puzzle.
Try this if you like Puzzles but beware it might cause motion sickness or vertigo.

I can't believe the negative reviews for this game. So some people are complaining about nausea ... well, I experienced none and think anybody who experiences it in this game is a VR noob that should stop reviewing games in VR. Guess what? It's a you problem, not a game problem. Either get used to VR or stop playing VR games. There's no reason to experience nausea. None. It's VR. things move. Do you also get nauseous on your car rides? It's also not the car's problem.
The other negative reviews mention things outside the play space. Do you realize you can move around? Did you follow the message screens?
So if you're still reading, this game is very fun and imaginative. Very interesting puzzles. The game does not hold your hand. This is a game where you just have to your brain and find creative solutions to interesting problems. Beautiful world. And best of all, it's free.
Broken Blue is a fun puzzler that will make you barf. I'm on what I think is the last puzzle, but I had to leave the game. I love being able to shrink and expand the world. Clearly this is a draft of a game, but I&

Broken Blue is a fun puzzler that will make you barf. I'm on what I think is the last puzzle, but I had to leave the game. I love being able to shrink and expand the world. Clearly this is a draft of a game, but I'm excited to see what these devs do next. I think they should put in a comfort mode that gets rid fo periferal content when moving, like Google Earth VR. I had to close my eyes between moves to keep the barf at bay.
A relatat's themed around fixing a broken computer from the inside; the assets are pretty cheap and it feels like a Unity game, but it's a good use of the medium.

A relatively short (about an hour) puzzle game with a series of 3D puzzles of varying types. Part of the fun is figuring out just what a puzzle is asking you to do.
The game makes great use of arbitrary scale; you need to zoom the entire map to different scales to find or interact with puzzles, and a lot of the puzzles will make you appreciate just how good controllers have gotten.

od there would be interested to play more of this game with puzzles of the same kind.

I love the monkey monks, I like the music and the setting. The puzzles are unique and fun to solve.
The only problem is the terrible locomotion, which uses the grab-and-pull technique, but for some insane reason incorporated a heavy rotation factor. This leads to a high risk of simulator sickness.
Thank God there is a work-around: When you use both hands to move, there is no orientation change (as it should be). This way the locomotion is tolerable.
I would be interested to play more of this game with puzzles of the same kind.
A very n parte of the 'd look forward to trying this again in the future, but for now, I have to recommend against.

A very interesting concept, and great visuals! I think this game has a lot of potential, but is in need of more playtesting and polish.
In particular, the world-grabbing technique works, but if you grab with only one hand, everything moves way too freely, which leads to nausea. My girlfriend was really badly affected by this, even 30 minutes after playing. I found that if you use both hand grips always, it helps, but sometimes still one of the two gets stuck "on" and leads to the same result.
Some of the grabbing objects physics is a bit finnicky too, e.g. the second cube puzzle (connect the white bars to the corners`). I can't manipulate it the way I'd expect, and it falls back into its old position too quickly. The white bars themselves are also very difficult to grab a hold of, and respond slowly.
I'd look forward to trying this again in the future, but for now, I have to recommend against.
